The Pier-Over Decking System (PODS) is a modular, multi-configurable repair solution that restores critical ship-to-shore logistics when port infrastructure is damaged or inadequate. By creating a roadway across structurally compromised pier sections, PODS enables rapid offload of vehicles, equipment, and supplies. Unlike traditional contracting and construction approaches, PODS delivers an immediate, field-ready option for exigent pier repair and sustainment.
Edwards Design and Fabrication, Inc. is the licensed manufacturer for PODS and is authorized to deliver it to both government and commercial customers. From fabricating test units and conducting demonstrations to producing deployed systems, we have supported the PODS program since its inception.
